Abstract
<i>The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of supplementation of herbal anti-microbial growth promoter on performance of quails for 35 days period. Ninety-day old, unsexed quail chicks were randomly divided into two treatment groups (n=45) having three replicates in each group (n=15). Birds of control (C) group were fed maize-soybean based basal diet and in treatment group, additionally herbal antimicrobial growth promoter (HAGP) was supplemented @ 5 g/10 kg feed. The diets formulated were isocaloric and isonitrogenous. The results revealed no significant difference on the growth parameters except FCR that was significantly (P≤0.05) better in treatment group during finisher as well as whole trial phase. Serum protein profiling results showed comparable values in both the groups. Likewise, no statistical difference was observed for different carcass characteristics among different treatments. Cost benefit ratio was better for HAGP supplemented group in comparison to control group. It may be concluded
that it was beneficial to supplement HAGP in quail ration.

Key words: Quail, HAGP, Growth parameters.
